  • ARE OUR TRAILERS REGISTERED?

Short answer, No, but they can be.

You can then take this to your local Transport Department to get your licence cited by officials.

QLD Customers, you're in luck! You can purchase a 12-month QLD Registration for your trailer and our team will sort it for you.

CTP insurance is only needed if towed behind a NSW registered vehicle.

  • WILL I NEED TO PAY STAMP DUTY ON MY TRAILER?

Stamp duty does not apply to trailers registered in QLD.

  • WHAT ARE ELECBRAKES?

Elecbrakes is a trailer mounted electric brake controller, wired directly into the trailers electrical circuit via an easy to use “Plug + Play” adaptor.

Elecbrakes draws power from the taillight circuit as well as the brake light circuit ensuring sufficient power is available for up to two braked axles.

Find out more on their website www.elecbrakes.com/how-it-works/

  • CAN I BUILD MY OWN TRAILER?

You can build your trailer, but registering it for on-road use is very difficult.

From strict engineering processes to destructive testing standards, VTA's (vehicle type approvals) and more, obtaining a VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) for these trailers can be time-consuming and costly.

From 1 July 2023, all trailers will need to meet full compliance to the relevant Australian Design Rules (ADRs). Vehicle Standards Bulletin 1 (VSB1) will no longer be accepted as an alternative method of compliance for new trailers.
