THE

SPECS

The main design feature of the Tipper Trailer fabricated chassis is the 5mm 350* grade steel C-Section Channel that runs the full length of the trailer allowing the sub frame to flex and move as it negotiates rough road terrain.


The fabricated chassis is made of laser cut, CNC folded, 350 grade*, open chassis members allowing for easy wash down and cleaning, with no enclosed areas where mud, sand and salt can get trapped and cause corrosion.


*350 grade is higher tensile steel. Box Section is 300 grade and most C sections are 300.

Load Sharing Leaf Spring Suspension Set

The Load Sharing Leaf Spring Suspension Set ensures a safe and stable trailer on and off the road.

The load-sharing system distributes weight evenly between the two wheels, ensuring the load remains level and the weight strain isn't put on one wheel.

65mm Square Steel Axles

The 65mm Square Steel Axles result in a stronger, yet lighter suspension set-up. The steel size of 65mm ensures the trailer can safely carry over 3000kg.

We provide a 12-inch drum brake as these are heavy-duty and robust.

Dual Row Taper Roller Bearings

Each trailer has 4 Dual Row Taper Roller Bearings.

These are 3000kg each, with a triple lip marine seal with a secondary O-Ring seal incorporated into the dust cap.

5 - 16 Inch Wheels, 5 Stud Landcruiser Pattern and 5 - All Terrain 235RI6/75 New Tyres

Each trailer is fitted with 5 All Terrain 235RI6 / 75 New Tyres, with 4 fitted to the axles and the 5th at the front of the trailer as spare.

These tyres are fitted with 16-inch wheels with 5 Stud Landcruiser Pattern.

Ratchet Trailer Handbrake and 50mm Coupling

The Tipper Trailer is fitted with a Ratchet Trailer Handbrake as standard. This must be applied when the trailer is not in motion, to ensure that the trailer remains immobile when parked, especially on an incline.

The 50mm Coupler comes standard with all 3500 kgs ATM Trailers and can be swapped to a 70mm Coupler if registering the trailer at 4500 kgs ATM.

Brake-Away System

The trailer Break-Away System is the ultimate emergency brake. It is designed to bring the trailer to a stop in the unlikely event it breaks away from the tow vehicle.

Drawbar Length

As standard, the drawbar length of an Ox Trailer is 1.9m in length.

This allows room for a drawbar toolbox or crane to be fitted. 

The drawbar is all part of the full-length chassis.

The above measurement is based on the dropsides being 250mm high as standard.

TRAY FEATURES

Welded Hinges and Quality Anti-Luce Latches

As standard, our trailers all come fitted with quality welded hinges and anti-luce latches.


These keep the CNC folded dropsides + tailgate secure.

Welded Rope Rails around all Four Sides

All trailers come standard with four Rope Rails around each side of the trailer. 

These Rope Rails are welded onto the tray with multiple braces and are suitable for ratchet straps, chains, and hooks.

The decking plate of all Ox Trailers is made from a welded 3mm 250-grade Checker Plate. 

This checker plate decking is welded onto internal bracing that ensures it can withstand heavy loads.

Front and Rear Steps

Integrated into the sides of the trailer are four front and rear steps. These steps are laser cut with a pattern to give grip when in use. 

Small side steps such as these help access the tray and cargo.
